Facilities

Teaberry Knoll is located on 30 acres of woodland, which allows us to incorporate trail rides, nature walks, and environmental studies into our program. We stress the importance of respect and care for both animals and the environment. The physical facility consists of a six-stall barn with a 100’x120’ outdoor riding paddock, a 50’x80’ indoor riding arena with adjoining stalls, tack room, and an impressive heated observation room which serves as a training and meeting area. This room was constructed for us by the Home Depot of Seekonk, Massachusetts.

Each of the horses used in the program has been carefully selected for gentleness, temperament and adaptability to this very unique form of physical therapy. Most are older "retired" horses, while some were neglected or abused by previous owners. These horses, often forsaken by others as having little use and no value, flourish at Teaberry Knoll. They are transformed and given a "new lease on life" by the love, care and attention they receive.
